NAR Opinions to Appraiser Qualifications Board

On March 29, 2016, NAR submitted a remark letter to the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) in response to their exposure draft regarding proposed changes to the AQB’s Real Residence Appraiser Qualification Conditions. NAR re-iterated tips manufactured to the AQB by letter in September 2015, in particular the need to have to re-evaluate the need to have for a Bachelor’s diploma for Certified Basic and Certified Residential classifications. NAR also encouraged the AQB revise the use of the expression “Trainee” and the 3-year residency prerequisite for Supervisory Appraisers.
